Wording For Invitations With Meals

An unusual finding; a couple of jugueste among the 90 tombs of Empuries

accustomed to seeing in the press the discovery of valuable archaeological, artistic rich, owned a general rule were people adinaradas, today we bumps read - and our attention, hence the dedicate a blog entry - the presentation of two pieces unearthed during excavations at Empuries (Alt'Empordá - Girona).

are not made of gold or other precious metal, no, but on clay, poor material. And did not belong to any illustrious sovereign character or not, were of a girl and she accompanied him on his last trip in the boat of Charon to beyond where it stayed for ever "asleep" next to the remains of it, in his grave. These two small dolls. One of the s. BC found in the Greco-Roman city, is a small bakery. Therein lies the curious thing: so far no one had encotraba doll that emulate a profession. Much information for archaeologists in this simple toy!. The other object is a doll features jointed limbs with Greeks.

Excavations which is the archaeologist responsible Joaquin Tremoleda were carried out between June and September 2010 in the area that will occupy the future visitor reception center. Had a budget of 120,000 Euros that have allowed to uncover two cemeteries: one Greek (V century BC to third century), with a total of 30 tombs, and other Roman (II century AD) which 60 burials have been documented. Stresses the high number of burials of children, high infant mortality.

The Archaeology Museum of Catalonia announced it will investigate the relationship between deceased. I trust you will have the public abreast of all developments in the investigation.

The Federation of Forum for Memory, an exhumation begins Menasalbas mass grave (Toledo)

The Federation of Forum for Memory begins exhuming a mass grave in Menasalbas (Toledo)

On Saturday July 17, work began recovery from mass graves of Franco's repression in Menasalbas (Toledo) where they are, at least 18 English democrats killed in recent days of the Civil War. This is the Trench 1, located on the outside of the cemetery wall.

This work for the Recovery of Historical Memory, is a collaboration between the National Federation of Forum for Memory and The Green Sheaf has a grant from the Ministry of the Presidency granted to the Group Relatives of the Pit No. 1 Menasalbas. It is also noteworthy extensive collaboration of the Municipality of San Martín de Montalbán. For its part, the owners of the land where the pit, have generously given permission to do the job.

The team consists of about 60 people, among whom there are archaeologists and anthropologists, historians, librarians, lawyers, photographers and dozens of volunteers. Volunteers will be present from Barcelona, Murcia, Malaga, Cordoba, Huelva, Toledo, Madrid, Segovia, Cuenca and the Canaries.

The work, expected to be extended two weeks, is coordinated by the president of the Federation of Forum for Memory, José María Pedroza.

The Saturday, July 24, is planning a great tribute walk pit.

The Federation of Forum for Memory has been working since 2002 for the recovery of individual and collective memory of all those people, families and villages hit by the Franco regime, still forgotten. There is therefore limited to the recovery of the remains of those killed, but seeks to recover social and political values of men and women who fought the Second Republic against Franco, in order that these values of equality, freedom, solidarity and social justice remain.

crimes against humanity committed by the Franco regime were never prosecuted and the criminals go unpunished. Given that the regime lasted until 1975, many criminals still Franco are old enough to be processed, so the Federation of Forum for Memory understands that, like the English Justice pursues crimes against humanity elsewhere in the world, should do the same with the criminals of the dictatorship. Keep in mind that criminals have been prosecuted against humanity for acts committed in other countries in times when there was still the Franco dictatorship. The Pinochet case is a good example because its dictatorship coincides with that of Franco between 1973 and 1975.

Repression in Menasalbas

Menasalbas Francoist repression resulted in the death of many residents who were shot in different parts of the state, died in prison as a result of the inhuman conditions in which they were and ten villagers who had taken the road of exile, were interned in Nazi death camps, of whom eight died.

Investigations to date indicate that 18 of these residents were murdered and buried in a mass grave outside the wall adjoining the town cemetery. Most were villagers, members of the Popular Army of the Republic, following the collapse of the front end of March 1939 returned home and were arrested when they entered Menasalbas, to be shot almost immediately. Differences Between Impetigo And Cold Sore

ArqueoGest Cáparra visit excavations (Cáceres)

shortly will be finalized in the archaeological Roman site Cáparra (Cáceres).

since late November last year, workers, archeologists and artists of the company Arqveocheck SLU., Under the direction Eulalia optional Gijón (Office of Management Alba Plata) have worked hard to let us know a little more of this Roman site located in the north of the province of Cáceres, on the banks of the River Ambroz (Olive municipal Plasencia and Guijo de Granadilla).

conditions were not the best: cold winter, which is remembered locally as one of the wettest in recent decades has been slow to give way to intense heat that announced the arrival upcoming summer. And, although the staff eventually dropped the feeling of longing for some in facilitating their work, the fact is they did not lose strength in their efforts to develop the hard work in the best way possible.

result of this effort has been that today we see a new domus east of Maximo Kardo and more houses to the west of it, extending island that was already partially discovered previous campaigns. To which we must add the excavation tabernae and south porch of Decumano maximum on both sides of the famous arch tetrápylo emblem of this site and Via de la Plata in Extremadura in general.

must roam around 1,500 square meters of open space during these months. Each area has brought to light a peculiarity, the less curious, both tourists and researchers, professionals and amateurs. The axial structure with peristyle domus center, exactly like the model types studied in the books, the three steps of the most monumental staircase to access the other area homes, taverns ...

For a better understanding of the findings made so far will have to wait out the publication of results. We are confident that this will happen soon and will have quality content. It will be a good contribution to the scientific community more linked to the Archaeology and History.

The visit to the site of Cáparra has been really nice and from ArqueoGest is recommend it to everyone, whether understood or not in the field. Access to the city through the N-630, at the junction at Villar de Plasencia, taking a westerly direction towards the Gabriel y Galán reservoir or Guijo de Granadilla. It is well signposted. The entrance is free , like the tour, although it is recommended concert, especially for groups. Summer hours are 10:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00, winter evening opens and closes an hour earlier. And while the excavation of this campaign is about to be terminated, even will last for a few weeks of the restoration work carried out by the CBRC team Atrium.

We kindly thank Minerva, Jose Maria, Julia, Teresa and Marti, guides, messengers, cleaners and maintenance of the site manager, respectively, the efforts of archaeologists field and the archaeologist responsible for the study of materials, the artists work, such seriousness and coordination among partners, to Doña Eulalia Gijón for directing and coordinating all this. But above all, to those most have been on their side and suffered so that today we can admire the vestiges of the past that is the city of Caparra the 15 laborers who have worked every day there, to all of them our sincere thanks and applause.

Privacy Security: The protest against Facebook just reached 0.008% of users

According to a diary Clarín.com, only 32,000 of the 400 million users are joining the protest today against the network. One group had called to resign by frequent failures that the service is in its privacy policy.

And the day came just. The of the great protest against the network's most successful time. Last week, after a series of security lapses of the platform, a group of users decided to strong protest and called for massive deleted. March 31 would be not only Memorial Day (holiday in the U.S.) but also the "Quit Facebook Day" (the day to leave the network).

In the middle, and with so many protests, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg recognized had made many mistakes, and announced changes to the site's privacy options and other "simple and easy to use."
